The throat armour plates is a critical component of a blast furnace, providing essential protection and ensuring efficient operation. Its primary function is to protect the furnace's throat area from impact and wear during charging of the blast furnace and to avoid being affected by extreme conditions during the production process.

Why is it Important?

Protection of furnace structure: Throat armour plates shield the steel structure of the blast furnace from damage due to impact and wear during the charging process, which prevents costly repairs and operational shutdowns.
Worker Safety: By maintaining the integrity of the throat area to avoid potential accidents, ensuring a safer working environment.

Pre-Assembly: To facilitate smooth on-site installation and performance, we conduct pre-assembly for all throat armour plates, simulating actual conditions before shipping. Each plate is assigned an assembly position number, ensuring fast and efficient on-site installation, minimizing downtime, and guaranteeing installation quality.
Project Management and Timely Delivery: Tianyu’s experienced project management team oversees every stage of the production and delivery ensuring that products are delivered on schedule and meet customer expectations.

Tianyu Metallurgical Equipment (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. is the international trading division of Tianyu Group, established in 1994, a specialized manufacturer of metallurgical equipment. We operate two in-house plants and collaborate with several partners. To date, Tianyu has supplied cooling equipment and accessories to more than 300 blast furnaces and over 200 converters worldwide, serving over 300 clients.
